| The
Corps of Engineers’ Compensatory Mitigation Regulation and
Regulatory Guidance Letter 08-03 place emphasis on comprehensive
monitoring of mitigation sites – both for permit condition compliance as
well as achievement of design goals. Lectures will focus on regulation
requirements, developing performance criteria, sampling design including
number of replicates, parameters to be assessed, frequency of sampling,
timing of sampling, and report preparation. A field exercise will allow
participants working in small teams to collect data and develop a
monitoring report. The instructors for this course are
