Completion
of this course will provide the students with a basic understanding of
habitat restoration/replacement of functions and services of wetland and
riparian areas. The class will be a mix of classroom and field-centered
learning. Classroom sessions will cover the fundamental elements of site
selection, preparation, and installation essential to successful
restoration planning. Field trips will center on case studies that
illustrate how these elements come together to make a successful
restoration project as well as common mistakes that are made during the
