Wetland Construction and Restoration

Wetland Construction and Restoration

This series of courses provides an integrated and systematic approach to wetland construction and restoration.  Completion of the courses provides the student with basic knowledge to conduct all aspects of building and restoring wetlands for purposes of mitigation or functional replacement of wetlands.  Each of the five courses can be taken independently and in any order as each provides an independent body of knowledge.  A moderate amount of repetition serves as a refresher or introduction to topics covered in more detail in other courses.  There are field and/or classroom instruction and students will be expected to do out of classroom tasks of approximately one hour duration for every four hours of instruction.

Instructor for series is Gary J. Pierce, Ph.D.
