How Does This Course Work?

Have you experienced “problematic delineation” situations that require additional expertise and analysis? In this course, you will work with one of the country’s leading experts to find answers to your specific questions and address challenges you have encountered. Applicable to all USACE regions. Intended for professionals with prior training and/or multiple years of experience in wetland delineation.

Through a combination of group discussion and lecture this course will explore the issues involved and techniques required when delineating in “Problematic Wetland Situations.” A variety of commonly encountered disturbed areas and naturally problematic situations will be discussed.

This course takes place in Wisconsin but our instructor has experience and can help you address challenges you’ve encountered in any part of the Unite States.

Students will be encouraged to present a case study of their most challenging personal encounters with problematic wetland situations. 16 contact hours (2 days).

Course Curriculum

This 2-day in-person course focuses on a variety of problematic delineation situations. Discussion and classroom lectures are tailored to respond to the experiences and challenges course participants have encountered in delineating wetlands. Participants are encouraged to present a case study of their most challenging personal encounters with problematic wetland situations. The course instructor will contact each participant prior to the course to explain the assignment and assist with identifying a case study.
