The 3 Region course includes Southeastern Plants, Northeastern Plants and North Central Plants of the Wetland Boundary and helps participants develop the skills and knowledge to identify plants commonly found on both sides of wetland boundaries in the Eastern United States. The course covers essential plant identification principles, including terminology, keying techniques, and field characteristics. A self-paced field component encourages learners to submit photos of identified plants for expert verification and to engage with instructors and peers through an online discussion forum. Full-color lecture notes are available for download and printing by participants. This course is well suited for beginners and those with moderate experience and serves as a strong foundation before enrolling in a Basic Wetland Delineation course.
