Nationwide Permits
Course Overview
This online course provides a comprehensive understanding of Nationwide Permits (NWPs), including their applicability to various projects and how they can be combined. NWPs were updated in 2021, and again in March 2026. Ninety-five percent of all activities authorized by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers fall under nationwide or general permits, making them essential knowledge.
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) modified and reissued the NWPs in a rule effective March 15, 2026, replacing prior versions and establishing 57 permits active through March 15, 2031. WTI instructors will review the new rule and incorporate relevant updates into the online course as they take effect, ensuring participants stay current on changes.
